This is the BBQ pit at the restaurant in Driftwood, TX. According to the pit master this pit has been burning for about 30 years. They actually built the restaurant around the pit. Enjoy!!!

Everything is bigger in Texas but this tops them all. A pit that has been burning for 30 years! They can pass it around like the Olympic flame and call it 30 year old fire :)

That's a huge BBQ indeed Charles, perhaps too big for chestnuts roasting on an open fire, lol.

I've seen this BBQ place spotlighted on the Food Network Charles and especially that awesome pit. My hubby and I are BBQ lovers and have been to well known places in southern Illinois, Missouri, Kansas and Kentucky. I've never been to Texas but I love brisket, a Texas speciality. Your image is so good I can almost smell the smoke.

That looks like they're cooking up a serious batch of ribs and brisket. Nice capture.

Great title. I was expecting to see some beef but thought it might be on the hoof Charles.
This gets me salivating.
