i always am amazed when i see a bird smaller than a sparrow. Canon Digital Rebel XTi with EF70-200 f4 L 1/500 f4 ajusted in Photoshop.

Nice shot of a bird that is in my personal "Top Four" of the USA bird world. Chickadees are so full of energy and have that interesting call. Thanks for sharing.

This is much better Mike, looks like you are getting closer to them. I have the same lens, but I am only 6 feet away from them when they land by my feeder on my deck. Good work.

Alright, my question is "is this a Carolina or Eastern chickadee?" I have such a hard time with that. I see descriptions in books and websites, but then when I compare pictures and photos, I don't see it. I can tell by the call though. That's easier than by site. they are hard to capture (with the camera that is) though. They are so quick and don't usually sit still for very long. The focus on the photo is just fine, Mike. The background is a bit grainy though. I'm guessing from too much cropping or too high ISO? Am I warm?
