Looking at this I am reminded of why spiders make such a big splash around Halloween time..lol...your subject is just about the right distance away, because she is one very frightening looking spider. I'm not squeamish (too much) around spiders, but this one would not be my first choice as an insect eater around the outside of my house. Composition-wise, it is very nicely taken, and with your subject off to the side, it creates even more interest, if that's possible the more you look at her. Clarity is good as the fine web is distinctly seen, which I personally find hard to do, and the background is just sharp enough that we get a little rest from the terrifingly clear subject herself when she gets to be a bit much to look at..lol...I'm not going to comment on the gooey stuff just to the left of her hanging on the web, except to say that she's either just finished a victim.. I mean meal, or...well, I won't go there..lol....nicely done :)PJ

Woah what an interesting capture of this really "scary" critter lol great clarity I'm certainly glad he/she will remain preserved in time upon my desktop and hopefully I wont catch it crawling/spinning anytime soon....thanks for leaving space for my desktop icons....great web capture also.....sooo this is the new meaning of "Surfing the Web" :) Excellent job!
