The tiger looks really interested in something . . . was there by any chance a deer running by?
Anyway, I like the shot. It's . . . well . . . majestic.
Good work. I like it.
We want something else which can hardly be put into words—to be united with the beauty we see, to pass into it, to receive it into ourselves, to bathe in it, to become part of it. That is why we have peopled air and earth and water with gods and goddesses and nymphs and elves—that, though we cannot, yet these projections can enjoy in themselves that beauty, grace, and power of which Nature is the image. That is why the poets tell us such lovely falsehoods. They talk as if the west wind could really sweep into a human soul; but it can’t. They tell us that ‘beauty born of murmuring sound’ will pass into a human face; but it won’t. Or not yet.
—C. S. Lewis
I think this is by far my favorite photo of yours, the only problem I would say it has would be a bit of graininess. Appears as though it was scanned from film. A good noise profile and a little photoshop could probably help it alot but I dont think digital postprocessing is quite your flavor. Good job.
an excellent image, i must say you certainly guessed the title ;)
tigers are truly beautiful animals.. this one looks like a philosopher to me, i bet he's thinking about the meaning of life at the moment :))) you caught him in a contemplative moment :)) ssshhh! ;)
great background too, i love this peachy colour. and the lightning is great too, a part of his body is shadowed and the head is not which adds a certain spirit of leadership and the importance of his mind.. i told you, he's meditating :)) oh, and it makes a stunning wallpaper, too!
