Fall is almost upon us again and I'm starting to get the photographers itch. It happens this time each year. I guess it has to do with being in the cool crisp air after the 100-degree temps. The colors generated by fall don't hurt either. This image was made last fall near the town of Roslyn Washington. (This is added a little later) Rosyln Wash. is where the TV show "Northern Exposure" was filmed.

Having lived in the desert Southwest for the past ten years I don't get to see the leaves change in autumn. This photo is an excellent reminder of how remarkably beautiful this time of year is. Thanks for bringing back some memories!

A perfect desktop for fall, or wishing it was. A ten as an image and a ten for desktop use. That's a twenty from me.

wow, was there any manipulation in this one, cuz if there wasnt the lighting is fantastic. also i think this one could do away with the boarders, i know they're almost your signature, but a little croping on the sides wouldnt really hurt this one. i absoloutely love the colours in this 10

I agree with everyone here, especially ninjatabby, being in the desert we're really deprived of beautiful leave's changing color's.. on the other hand, we are enriched with the most beautiful sunsets! I guess one can't have all the good things in life in one spot ;) Great capture and as well as your waterfall one, this too is getting a 10/10 and into my favorites :) Thank you for sharing with us what we don't get to see everyday.

It reminded me of Lothorien... here is the quote from LOTR - FOTR:

"There lies the woods of Lothorien!" said Legolas, "That is the fairest of all the dwelings of my people. There are no trees like the one of that land. For in autumn their leaves fall not, but turn to gold."

..and they sure do... LOL

Really beautiful image! :)

I think it's pretty. It gives me that good feeling inside. The seasons bring forth a peacefulness and a theme to live by. And that's what draws me to this picture. Don't care for the framing- doesnt do the picture justice with the bars on the side but it'l do.

For some reason, I find fall leaves when photographed up close, hard to focus. But, you got these leaves right on target. Your particular section of leaves you chose to photograph are beautiful Great framing. The backlighting is some of the best I have seen. Great work.
