As the Lewis River disappears over the edge of Lower Lewis River Falls we can see the moss that grows against the rocks. Protected from the fury of the water by a slight overhang. This shot was taken in the late summer after the high water of the spring runoff and the higher water levels of the fall rains.

Wow, what an AMAZING photo! I love everything about it! The moss is so wonderfully green and lush, hidden away out of reach of the streaming waters. This really gives me a wonderful picture of survival against all odds! Very nice - inspiring work from you as usual!

the thunbnail did not attract my attention but I downloaded it anyway and am glad I did. the download is beautiful, graceful, delicate and moving. i like the title. it say it all. the bright green moss is delightful. The strange glow on the edge of the rocks is really neat.
