This is a sunrise shot From Kamiak Butte looking North to Steptoe Butte about 35 miles away. What appears to be a haze is the morning light hitting water vapor in the air at an oblique angle. About an hour later the air was crystal clear for as far as the eye could see. The beautiful side-lighting, however was not the same. I think this is a much better image. Simply because of the shadow play.

But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile. Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.

I love the undulating landscape, it reminds me of the drifts of the sea floor I see when diving. You've really captured the bigger geologic picture with this one.

Who would have guessed that a real landscape could look so much like a computer generated one. If it weren't for the details like the plough lines and what looks like water drain lines and other irregularities, I'd be tempted to think this was a computer image.

it is a really nice shot, but you should of taken out what looks like a water stain or something that appears at about the ten o'clock position of the picture...it detracts from it I think

did you soften this up at all? I only ask because...wheatfields usually look a little crisper is all. Amazing shot. I have yet to make it to Kamiak, but the view from Steptoe is equally inspiring. I love that you're showcasing this gorgeous state so well. Kudos!
