Oh, NO, It was one in the morning when I uploaded this and forgot to check it. This is NOT "A ROCKY BEGINNING". This one should have been entitled "HEAVENS TRAIL". I'm sorry for the mix up............This one should read: While photographing in the Hoh Rain Forest on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State I found this trail. It was a very humid day and I used my old "Breath on the front of the lens trick". Which in this case wasn't such a bright idea as it took about 5 minutes to dissipate to the point that I could achieve the effect I was hoping for.

My goodness Michael! is this a real photo? or did you do some touchups? It is absolutely magnificient! The softness of this earthy picture is delightful. The colours are amazingly beautiful. What else can I say...it's just simply gorgeous!

It does look like a shot of the forest primeval...an absolutely goregous photo. I had to look closely to see that it is in fact a photo...marvelous manipulation.

I don't care what you titled this Michael, it is beautiful. I really like the hazy effect to this. Makes for a more interesting photo.

Wonderful photo, Michael! What sort of filters and/or manipulations did you do to achieve this effect? It's as much an illustration as a photo.

Yep, this is the Hoh rain forest as I remember it Michael :). What did you use for your light source in there? I had trouble with blurriness and my flash was too bright. It burned everything out when I tried to use it. I love how you captured the deep forest, mystical look that is in the rain forest. Being a temperate rain forest creates a lot of the humidity that you mentioned as you blew on your lens....I chuckled because I had it on my glasses the whole time I was in there.....excellent piece of art here. Downloading it to my favorites folder and into my screen saver slide show folder. Thank you my friend. :~)

Hello Michael, my goodness, this image should grace the cover of 'Fairy Book Tales"! This is so dreamy, so just pleasing to view! I would expect all the little leprachauns to jump out and taunt you with their little pots of gold! Or maybe this might be thought of as the "Enchanted Forest"! Also, I am thinking of how much fun it would be to run this trail, dreaming away of the wonderful things I might wish for, or of those things I might conjure up in my mind for fun! Very well done Michael by a very skilled and talented artist indeed! Sincerely, Marilyn

How beautiful this photo is...and what a neat trick you used that I never heard of before. Definitely going into my favorites....awesome. I will have to scoot up there to the Olympic Penn some day...I am not that far away...went thru there years ago but this shot makes me want to go tomorrow! 10/10.

Well Michael I'd say your cloning effort was pretty successful. When you know that cloning took place you look for the telltales. If you don't know, you never notice the traces of the cloning. Now the effects you laid on afterwards are gorgeous. High saturation, soft filter with the breath on the lens. Very nice, and you effectively created a mood. By the way, I get that "effect" in summer every time I step out of the air conditioning. The humidity's a killer down here.
