I like doing portrait photography as well as nature and wildlife, however they never seem to do as well as Nature. Of course, that may have to do something with the fact that their use as wallpapers a very limited audience. I hope you enjoy people photography as much as I do.

Very nice. Who is the girl? Do you think she would marry me? Just kidding, I'm already married. But she probably would. Very good job.

Your shot is really lovely. And on top of that the manipulations have done a great deal to improve the image. I ofcourse dont keep portraits on desktop but I should say that this is lovely. Very well done.

This is a very lovely posting of a lovely woman. I can't help but wonder what the "history" is behind your taking a photo of her...I like how soft you've made this portrait...and no, it wouldn't be so good as a desktop picture, but as a photograph in itself its wonderful...V

I do enjoy portrait photography although this site has a built in bias against them.It is almost as if the person or people are not the main focus it is OK but if they are the subject of the image it is looked down on.Anybody else get that sense from posted works here.It may be just my imagination running away with me.Any thoughts on this subject would bwegreatly appreciated in a PM.Lovely work Michael. It has an airbrushed proffesional look to it which I mean in the best sense of the term.

Pink with an ethereal glow. And the softness, post processing now that you've gone digital or the lovely hose over the lens that you've shown us beautifully in the landscapes? Either way she's got to be thrilled with this.
Something like this may not make the permanent galleries but I'm here to see peoples work, range and depth as artists.

The girl is stunning as is the entire image Michael. I do have a question though.....I really love the softness of the picture...sort of a brushed effect, a filter maybe? Anyway, As soon as I viewed it full size, the most apparent thing to my eyes were the girls teeth!! They seem unnaturally white and vibrant against the softness of the rest of the photograph. Is this my over-tired mind, is this intentional or is this just the way my eyes see the image? Many thanks for sharing your work with us & thank you in advance for your answer to my query. I, for one, deeply appreciate it. I know your love for doing these portraits comes from your heart. My best to you & DiAnn. :~)

Hello Mike....You have done a nice job on this subject....There are many components to a good portrait, but the main component is control by the photographer and theirs no doubt you had complete control when you captured the subject in this picture...Well done...All the best...Mick.

Very nice Michael, the soft focus worked very well in this portrait it brought out the softness in her face and highlighted the background lights very well. good one.

What a lovely, dreamy image. It has that luminosity to it. She is lovely and has a touch of mischief in peeking around the tree. The camera does her justice. A beautiful work you've done...
