Simple but lovely image. Nice angle you took catching the bird at his most naturel. The water has nice reflections & ripples. The blue water drifting into a yellow shade is marvelous..good combination. The background grasses are very pleasing to the eye. I gave this a ten in the voting booth..well deserved!

Well Moe ... if you hadn't mentioned it I would not have picked up on the alteration. Like .cracky said above, I'm not experienced in that sort of thing. But what ever you did to the color you did well. I'm a "bird nut" ( underline the word nut) but it wasn't the bird that drew me to view this. No ... it was the mixture of colors in the water. The soft colors and ripples almost look like an oil painting. Very appealing. Gotta give you good marks for clarity as well. Clear enough that when viewed in larger size one can make out the epaulet on each wing of this bird. In case you didn't know it that is a Red-Wing Blackbird. The epaulet I mentioned is a brilliant scarlet red, best seen when the bird takes flight. Often a smaller band of yellow can be seen as well. If I've told you way more than you wanted to know about this bird humor me ... if not ... I send you a bill in the mail :)

Just an old "Grampa" who still has a Kodak "Box" camera kicking around the attic ... learning and enjoying the wonders of modern digital photography.
