Taken at Arches National Park, Moab, UT, Jan 05. It was taken with a Pentax K1000 using Kodak 400 B&W Film . My wife wanted a picture of the moon.

Yesterday's history. Tomorrow's a mystery. Today's a gift. That's why it's called the present.

I love the velvety feel of the sky, but I'm at a loss: what's the big light object at the left? 'Cuz I bet that it's not a planet, and that the moon is in the middle. Very nice image.

such a cool funny shot with a fab trick for the eyes
at first glance it looks like a shot from an orbit around the moon itself towards the earth!
but reading that youre on Moab I'm guessing its a clift face

superb optical illusion

I'm not sure about the moiré from the scan though

Very interesting shot. The only thing I can say is the texture is a little rough, the image looks bumpy. Is that the "moire" that jzaw is talking about? But yeah, other than that, very interesting shot. Great job!

Someday we'll all be gone, but lullabies go on and on...they never die. That's how you, and I, will be...

Thanks for your comments. The object on the left is part of an Arch. I knelt down on one knee and just snapped it.

Now there's a shot for a wall print. Love the composition and the otherworldly feel.

Great eye trick here.. this is very clever in my opinion. I honestly believed it was a NASA image from the small view. it really looks like a photo of the earth from the moon!

great work.
