I think this is the right catagory for this. I took this shot from the top of the Colorado National Mnt in May this year. All I've done is use the sepia tone and automatic contrast in PE2. Hope you like it and , give me some constructive comments as you usually do. I do appreciate them Steve

I like the unexpected in a photo, Steve. The normal "touristy" shot was converted into something more interesting. My eye did wander a bit, looking for a lighter spot to rest upon but it's known for wandering and not coming back so don't misunderstand. You've done a good job here and it's pleasing on the desktop.

Hi Steve. I like the shot, fine. I'm not fussy about the coloration. It doesn't look like Sepia. More like the "Old Photo" type filter, which gives them an authentic yellowed/aged look. I tried a varity of BW/Sepia filters, but the regular B&W seemed to portray it best.
I have a great little Free utility, "B/Works" that allows you to preview a variety of B/W Sepia and duotone effects, and just pick the one you like best, and Save it. It's far more versatile than the average photo editor, supplies.. That old Desert truck, in my gallery, was done with this utility. If you're interested, let me know, and I'll send you the link.

The sepia tone adds a vintage feel, however I think on this particular image, it causes some depth loss. It feels more 2D than 3D, if that makes sense. Were you trying to give it a "wild west" feel? Thanks for posting it!

Well done Steve! and agree that the sepia colour does give it a vintage western feel. I think it does lose a little bit of its depth at first glance, until you study it then the focal points become clear. I would love to see this in it original colours as well. :) Patti

I kinda think the B&W would come across a little better but I think color may have been the best. It's a very nice shot....got a color one?
