This is another shot that I took a couple of years at the Taos Pubelo. The buildings are made out of adobe and the object in front is a stove. They still use these today. (I don't know if this one was in use)

Steve, was this in Taos, NM? At a mission? I believe I was there, as well. You captured their stove well. Amazing place and you did a good job. - Patty
The Bible tells us to love our neighbors, and also to love our enemies; probably because generally they are the same people.

Your photograph portrays a simple life Steve, but there is something to be said about that. I only think we would cry like babies if they did not have broadband!! lol Patti
Yes, this is Taos Pueblo in NM, it's not a mission. In general the Taos tribe does not live there and mostly it's for tourists (selling stuff) and tribal ceremonies when it will be closed to the public. You have to pay to take photos there. Some older people may live there but there is no running water, electricity, etc. It's quite old. They have normal houses on other parts of the reservation.
A stove... man I can't seem to make it without my microwave. That's a real clear shot with great contrast. Very interesting to see different culture. Good one Steve.
