This was taken this past weekend (Aug 11-13) at our church camp. It was overcast/raining all weekend (First time in 5 years of going there). I took this shot with my Pentax ES, 85mm-210mm lens at F11, 250, with a yellow filter. In fact, I took a lot of shots at this setting with a yellow filter. More may follow. Steve

What Patti said...but why didn't you run down that tree line and get some pics of those mountains? You are letting opportunities slip away.

I like the photo a lot, but am not so sure about the yellow filter. It does make it look more sunny, but not so real looking. I would love to see this pic without the filter. I do like the fence in the front. And I agree with DigiCam about the mountains...go for it ok? Verena

I'm with Vereena on this. The composition of the image is quite good, specially the way the tree-line forms a diagonal that intersects the ridgeline in the background. The wooden gateposts in the foreground are a good compositional element, but the use of the yellow filter draws attention away from the gate where I feel it should be. I downloaded this image, and raised the red color channel 34% then desaturated it down to about 10%, and raised the contrast a bit. The result was a sepia-toned version of the image that I find appealing. Since the image has good bones, it was easy to manipulate. The sepia and the raised contrast drew out the gate, making it the central focus of the image. Try it out, and see if you like it.
