Strange thing happened this frosty morning. Shot the best shot I could from the car window before getting out to approach this wild mule deer. As I slowly advanced toward her, she did the same toward me until I was within 100 ft. Had I been more patient instead of moving slightly to change my camera angle, I think she would have walked right up to me.

Perhaps the poor thing was hoping you'd have some food...it's a wonderful shot in those wintry surroundings and yes, he/she does seem quite inquisitive and willing to be approached...a lovely creature and well captured...your framing is well chosen too...thanks for sharing.:Pat.

Due to the recent slow down of the site, my comments and thank you's have been few as it was very time-consuming...will catch up ASAP...meanwhile, a group thank you to all and keep up the great work everyone.

A thrilling moment for you, I'm sure. I think I would have been too enchanted to even snap the shutter. Great photo, thanks for sharing!

A very unusual angle for a deer shot. Nice capture!
(I personally HATE that 'move and lose' thing that happens with wild life!! They are soooo picky.)
