A very nice image...you live in a lovely town. I like the way you captured the mood of the natural lighting by the inferior sun. Did you edit the sky.. ? It looks a bit unnatural to me.

The water and the shadows looks very nice. Even the composition is good. What lacks is the overall brightness. I agree its a gloomy time of the day but by adding a bit more light can make the place more live.
