Esslingen am Neckar is located in a bottleneck of the Neckar valley, southeast of Stuttgart. The river crosses the city from the southeast to the northwest, where the old city which lies north.

Excellent explanation and story telling, Antonio, but I prefer the wonderful shot. The picture is so rich, there are so many things there and I love them all. Thanks.

I was in Stuttgart back in the late 80's Doc. I wish I had gone to Esslingen. I love the way the canals meet. It looks like there could be a true bottleneck when traffic was busy.
The photo is so clear and I do like the composition.

I like that. I wonder...was the island already there or is it man made? The bricks and the greenery are beautiful, as well as the house.

Antonio - The scene is beautifully composed. The clarity and colors are excellent. My concern is that the right half of the sky, due to the sun brightening, is striated and a little noisy. Thad
