I spotted this amazing gravestone near my parents property in East Farleigh,Kent UK. The lighting on it was just right to show the engraving, not bad for nearly 300 years old. just as a side note, this church has the names of all the Vicars who have been in charge of this church and its parish from 1216.

Paul - Great lighting in this photo and a good capture of the headstone. Good clarity and colours. Very nicely presented.

I love the view these owd headstones!...I frequent many many of our 'disused' cemetaries near where I live, and am always fascinated by some of their stories!

This is an excellent composition, with those shades and light showing a super post

I am a sucker for cemetary monuments. Beautiful sculpture and poignant memorials in an outdoor gallery. Love the growth, the leaves and the dappled light. They make it feel like and out of the way discovery. Nice find
