This is exquisite, Phillip. The contrast between the sharply focused stationary objects and the creamy, gauzy water is lovely, and the arrangement of the movement from upper right to lower left really makes the image work well. The lighting has a primeval look to it too. The only thing I think could be improved (:-)) is this: It could be a bit less busy. It's a teeny bit difficult to focus on any one part of the image aside from the stick which I think was intended to be a device, not the subject. This image is one of the caedes greats.
I love this. I have to say I like the stick in the foreground. I think it gives a kind of distorted scale to the image, especially with the apparent shadow on the water. It actually looks almost too good, was there any adjustments on photoshop? If not then I think I need a new camera.
Great work Phil.
I like this shot very much. Nice work on the lighting - I know it can be difficult if you've got a slow shutter. But this make a really nice effect on the water. Thanks for posting it!
I'm afraid I don't know that much about photography, but I agree with Gary. This is one great photo. The water looks almost like mist, and comparing that softness next to the crispness & the clarity of the stick....just fantastic. 10 / 10 for sure.
