This photo was taken on a holiday in Fiji, and i did quite a bit of retouching to the original image to come up with this. I used basically the method Lucy (+Cain) uses in her images of forests. This was a beautiful forest to walk through, and was like nothing i had ever seen before (we don't really get forests that look like this where i live), and so i am glad that with a bit of editing i have made the photo actuallly represent what the forest was like. I would like some feedback on this one (hopefully from Lucy herself), so i can get an idea of how well i have done this.

Hm I like the softness of this image. And the low light conditions is making this place lookd very cool and the wide effect gives a broad idea.

What a lovely softness comes thru from the sunlight and the pathway...it looks like such a peaceful place and you captured all of it perfectly. I love how the sun just kind of strokes everything..and your framing is great....nice shot..verena

Beautiful David, I love the random spots of sun trying to sneak through the trees shade. You also did a nice framing job too, it fits it very well. It looks so peaceful! Nice job and +Favs

Every morning I will rest my arms a while upon the windowsill of heaven, gaze upon God, and with that vision in my heart turn strong to meet my day.

It looks good David, the lighting especially give a nice atmosphere to the pic. like the contrast as well and the vivid green. the only thing is that it's a little bit too 'blurry' at full size. I don't know if your image was already a bit blurry before the manip but...

You can reduce the effect just by lessening the opacity of your two blur layer to make the image seem more sharp. I usually have to do a bit guessing with the opacity as well, I never achieve a final result in the first try^^, so don't worry, it will come with time and after a while you'll see right away which percentage of the opacity will work best^^

And thanks for using the tuto! I'm glad if was of some use to you^^
