Taken near the check post of the Kerala border during my recent trip to Kerala. We had to wait near the border check post till morning, because the road is closed at night. Wild animal sighting is very common here so Government from both states have blocked the road at night to protect both humans and animals. The night was very chilly and we were freezing. But when we crossed the check post to reach the Kerala border check post it was a welcome sight. While our driver was getting the permit, I got busy taking snaps. Comments please :)

Very interesting that they shut the road down at night. Hope you stayed somewhere good until morning. Love the shot of this field. Great job

Great scene! Nice compositions. Increasing the contrast a bit will imho enhance the picture quite a bit. Thanks for sharing, Prashanth.

So those are Plaintain trees! Beautiful! And the chickens,...how perfect that they are on such a beautiful place. I would love to know more about why the greenery is the way it is, what is grown there, why there are those little "rows"...and those little huts,,altho very rickety...they sure add so much to this photo! It would be nice if the grass were a bit sharper, and I'm not sure how to do that. But I love this photo. Thank you so much too for what you wrote about your experience at the border check. I can almost feel how cold it must have been. Wild animals? that's a bit scarey. I hope you were safe in your vehicle from them. Thank you Prashanth so much. Verena

Well you definitely didn't 'lay an egg' with this shot. A lovely shot Prashanth. The misty background adds to the beauty of the scene. Good job!

Lovely morning view...especially nice with the fog still around. I would love to know what is being farmed in that field.

Hey Prashanth
This is I think one of your best shots! You have captures this scene very well! It tells a story all by itself! Great colors with the deep greens and I love those shacks on the side. Great, great shot!
