This monkey was feeding on the food given by tourists standing outside the Wayanad Forest reserve. He doesn't have a hand was doing pretty well. He was calm and approachable compared to the other members of his gang.
I feel sorry for the little fellow. He's so cute, but he must have trouble swinging from the trees with his friends. Beautiful capture, P. Good clarity and color. I like the bit of sunshine on him.
I like the way the sun is lighting him from behind. It gives a nice separation be tween the subject and the background which is important in this case because they are so much the same color. His position in this crop is good in that we can follow his gaze into the frame even though we can not see what he is looking at. The monkeys posture, his shadowed eyes, the way he is holding his hand with his feet, and the slight frowning look to his mouth all imply a state of sadness or depression which probably completely disappeared the moment a tourists treat landed near by. This photo provokes emotion in the viewer Prashanth. Well done.
Awwww that is so sad, but yet, look at him, he looks so sweet. I imagine he is a much nicer little monkey then the others. Its kinda like us people, when we have some kind of physical thing that slows us down, we take more time with others. Oh Prashanth, this is a most touching photo! I really love how you got the sunlight right behind him, it makes him look warm too. And the way he is holding onto his foot. Maybe a security to him. A wonderful photo my friend. It makes one think and appreciate a lot of things. Verena
Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have perseverance and above all confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something and that this thing must be attained.

A great capture on this one Prashanth. A wonderful subject and beautiful presentation. I love the look in his eyes and I think we share the same barber, lol. Very nicely done.
Hi Prashanth
This is a sad looking little guy you have here! It really make one wonder what happened to his arm. At least he looks well nourished! It a very good shot!

My beloved 3-legged dog died a year ago and I miss him still. Perhaps there is something about handicapped animals that makes them both wiser and yet self-reliant. Nice shot.
if this little sweetie was for an adoption, I would be only too happy to adopt her [I guess this is female]. I mean adopt her fully = to live with us, be a part of the family etc. SAM
