Being bold here, as I did notice ... once upon a time ... that exposure was somewhat problematic in a few of your past images.
You and your camera handled this one well. And indeed the lighting conditions for a shot like this, would be challenging. :o)
Caveats?
Some ... being the operative word, 'banding' has crept into the sky.
Maybe examine/investigate making a selection of the sky only in an image editing program and then applying a Gaussian blur to that selection. Towards the ends of softening things up and blending the sky some more. Experiment.
That said, very peaceful scene.
Thanks for sharing this one with us. And here's to a few days of some rest, relaxation ... and, but of course ... some photo ops, coming up for you. :o)

Oh! my goodness!! what a shot, capturing such a unique and
awesome scene I am totally jealous!!
Manohara,sundhara dhrishya Prashanth,Dhanyawadhugalu!!!
I just learned a new word from Les...banding. I have seen that happen but didn't know what it was. Very eye pleasing shot, P. You have a gorgeous view out over the water, and a perfectly straight horizon. Well done.
Prashanth, I am struck in this shot by the sculptural quality of the water...if I didn't KNOW it was water, I'd assume it was a giant abstract sculpture! Your light management is doing that. Also, the reflection just under the sun is the best I've seen in a long time...well done!
And thanks, Les, for the tip. I have a photo I am about to rework now that I know what to do.
I really love this. The colours are so beautiful and calming. The composition is incredible....just enough to compliment the sun without distracting from it. Awesome capture my friend!
Oh Prashanth this is such a magnificent colour! I love how the water reflects the sky! An amazing photo. Feels warm and just beautiful. Thank you so much for a lovely water photo.*Verena*
Editing in 8bit mode or editing an 8bit file format(jpg) will lead to banding in otherwise smooth gradients like the sky. Tiny variations that might be the same one color value at 8 bits could be 4 slightly different shades at 10 bits, or 16 slightly different shades at 12 bits, or 64 slightly different shades at 14 bits. Just another tidbit to consider.
Awesome sunset Prashanth, but with 14 positive comments in one day I'm guessing you know that already. :0)
Well done!
Kudos, Prashanth.
