This is the beautiful “Fairlawn fall “located in a massive tea estate at Sami malai- Sri Lanka.I was very lucky to capture this fall on the rain season with its full glory. I’m sure you will enjoy it.
How very very beautiful!! It looks so filled with peace..and the sound of the water must be wonderful. What are those green "strings" on the fence. I love the rustic fence too.You have certainly captured this scene at its very best. The earthy colours of green and brown are just perfect...A tea estate? what do they have there? besides tea...waht kind? and what else? Thank you my friend, for this gorgeous photo...
A very nice capture, Priyantha, I feel as if I was there when I watch it. Great viewing perspective and very well balanced colors and lighting, it looks so real, I can almost smell the moist wood. The colors of the leafs look very autumnal, I guess it's typical for the rain season and like Verena I would like to know what those green are for. They don't seem to be necessary in terms of fastening something or being a part of the bridge construction. Very nice work from you...
Wow, What a corker of a shot Priyantha, I can just about hear the thunderous roar of that waterfall from here!...such a lovely setting, I take it, that this is a'viewing' platform for the tourists!...you have captured the composition extreemly well, and the colours are brilliant......well done my friend...Bob
this is stunning image, beautiful landscape there in SriLanca, and you certainly know how to capture it, to show it in full glory. The colors are vivid and I like the viewing point. great job, as usual.
This is perhaps your best shot yet Priyantha. The colours in particular are excellent and your perspective has created an almost 3d feel that is a joy to behold. I can almost feel the spray cooling my face :-)
I've been telling my girlfriend about the lush, fertile abundant shades of green that u can find in Sri Lanka, especially towards the monsoon season & up in the highlands. You have captured that as well as the beauty one of the many awesome(in its original sense) water falls there. hats off in this instance for capping that. the power behind some of these waterfalls is quite deceptively peaceful hence the rail & the walkway. which adds a nice point of view to the picture.
Very nice work Priyantha, u have refreshed my memory of one of my favourite things about Sri Lanka, thank you for sharing.i can almost hear the roar......sigh
my only suggestion is dependant on ur camera & not ur technique. If u had a wide angle lense i would love to see any landscape picture that u have taken thru that. Giving you a sense of the periphral. that aside. top marks from me. keep em coming :~)
this image gives pure and white a mystical sensation of energy, giving a sense of relax and free thoughts of badly things, in a wonderful scenery plenty of light, embraced for the nature mother...giving more than we can get.....wonderful image. very intense and stronger meanings.
Yeah, I do like this one. You wisely prefered the platform instead of shooting only the fall. Now we can lively image ourselfs how the falls are situated and we can dream of walking up there and discover the part that we can't see!
Great shot, friend!
a 10 from me.
It feels as if we are there watching the waterfall. Impressive work my friend. The green tree and plants are so vivid. And personally I feel like the waterfall gave me some of its energy. It has been a refreshing experience.
You have composed this photo pretty well, and the waterfall looks spectacular. The focus on the fence is a bit off, but this is only a minor part of the photo. Once again thanks for sharing some of the beautiful scenery of your country = )
What a unique composition for a waterfall Priyantha! The hand cut walks and platform adds some drama to this cool shot. I really like the color of the trees on either side of the image as well as the waterfall (both upper and lower) in the background. The other trees are very lush and green . I am especially fond of the fact that the powers that be preserved the tree that was in the way of the platform by building aorund it. I love to see our trees saved that way. The decorations on the top of the rails are rather unique and I presume that they too, are hand cut. I can only imagine how beautiful this must be in person. I have never seen a tea plantation (I love tea though :). I am glad that you captured this to share with us..excellent color, quality and clarity. Downloaded into my favorites folder on my harddrive as well as my screensaver slideshow folder. Well done. Thank you ;~)
What a perfect capture. I love waterfalls and you have really set up a beautiful picture. The clarity is exceptional in this and the view is terrific. Just lovely. High marks here.
Quite an impressive photo Priyantha. The high fall up top left comming down to center and the walkway leading us to it shows a great eye for composition.Well done.
