Wow, great shot! The depth to this is superb and brings 100% attention to the monkey. The bit of motion blur just gives this extra character. If I was to guess, I would say it just threw something at someone. I like how the rock lines and the band of trees parallel each other. Excellent!

Cute little fury thing! Lovely photo here Priyanthab, I really like how the monkey stands out from the background and your timing was just perfect, the half turned head and that look is really something. A work well done!

Oh Priyantha, this monkey is just too cute!! The image definitely shows his 'better' side..hehe. I like the depth of field here. It suits the monkey well :) That little hand in the air is quite the defining moment of the shutter release! You did catch him at a good time, since he appears to be paying little attention to you. It seems as though all of the action is happening off to the right of the image. I don't believe that I have ever seen an endemic monkey before. Thank you for the education. :~)

HOLY SH*T! A perfect angle and framing MAKES this shot! the only thing I would change, is for the hand to be sharp rather than motion blurred. INCREDIBLE shot nonetheless, and you still get a 10.10, and favs. truly brilliant.

Beautiful photo. It is well composed (as are all of your photos), has great focus, and it's amazing you got such a dramatic place to photograph this little primate. I can't really say whether I like or dislike the movement in this photo. Keep the pictures coming.

I think the hand couldn't be sharp, because monkey was vawing "hello" to the photographer. Great catch! and great composition.

Great shot Priyantha...love the way you have concentrated the focus on the monkey....the blurred background really gives this image a bit of 'Punch!'........Bob

This is a brilliant shot, Priyantha, you captured this special moment very well. There is so much depth in your picture that I suspect you have been working with different layers. The contrast between the monkey and blurred background has almost got an artificial look. High marks from me...

Hello Priyantha, this is an absolute marvel of a shot! He is the cutest little fella this side of heaven! Darryl is right, all of our attention is directed immediately to the monkey, gettin' pretty good, aren't you friend? This really is a fun shot as well as being done with a crafty talent in play! Being endemic, I can just imagine seeing these little fellas everywhere!! You do nice work Priyantha! Congratulations to you! I appreciate your photograpy very much! Sincerely, Marilyn

Great closeup shot Priyantha! It seems the monkey got frozen only for a second, still full of motion, it will surely change position in a second or so. How did you manage to shoot it, I wonder? Congratulations

You’ve made great use of focus to isolate your subject. And it’s an interesting subject too. Love his modern flat top haircut. Very well done.

I love how you captured the mischevious look of the monkey looking around waiting to take a bite of his little piece of fruit. Plus the background color goes perfectly with the color of the endemic.
Great pic!!!

LOL @ Terri! Nice shot - I remember the time a monkey gone wild stole my soda bottle while I was on vacation in a hill station in south India =) The depth here is really good - beautiful scenery also!
