Is that a kind of lotus? Just a guess, I don't know anything about flowers. The pink and lavender looks beautiful against the green. Nice composition and framing also. Good capture!

Hi friends! I have some projects I need to get done, so I won't be able to visit Caedes as often as I would like. Appreciate you all very much, and will try to comment as much as possible. !

I would prefer a bird's eye perspective to see more of the glorious violet petals. The light and soft focus make it look dreamy. Hoping to see more of the lotus captures...

Oh my Priyantha, yes you are indeed a 'flower' child! This is absolutely beautiful in it's simplicity, which, in this case, lends itself to elegance! Gorgeous colors, with enhancing background colors, all these features blend to make this image very special, and very applealing friend! Also, the lovely lavender color of the lotus which is positioned perfectly, completes this image in a very satisfying way! Now, don't you offer me too much competition, as that would be hard to handle! LOL! Teasing you! Very nice photo, and I would delight in seeing more floral photography from you, as viewed through your lens! A treat that would be! Sincerely, Marilyn

Priyantha....however did I miss this gorgeous image that you posted? You are a flower person indeed. You love nature and flowers are nature, right? This is exquisite in the details and the delicate coloring. The depth of focus is so perfect to show off this beauty. Is this a lotus blossom? You can win my heart with flowers like these...lotus and water lilies....I fall for them in a heartbeat. I am soooo glad that I found this. I have already set it as my new background and downloaded it into my favorites folder on my hard drive so I can run it in my screensaver slideshow program. Thank you for sharing this delicate beauty with all of us!
Thanks also for the comment you left on ~driving miss daisy~. It is interesting that you said that about a darker background. I have one shot where the background is darker. I kept debating with myself which one I should post....well, I chose the brighter one.....guess my thinking isn't too clear, right? Maybe one day soon, I will post the other one so you and all can see. Your continued support and comments are so deeply appreciated :~)
