You need a little more focus on the subject I feel.The background and color are there!

Very beautiful color.
First I would try zooming in more on the flower. Not much maybe just enought to see a little bit more detail. With zooming in you might have to change some setting so that the flower is still in focus.
The bud in the background kinda disctracts my eye. Dealing with this size flower is difficult and easy to be distracted by something else. Maybe crop just enough of the photo that you only take the bud out, but leave everything else still in the shot.
All in all i really like this little flower. Good job.

I will be starting a series of Rail-Road Shots. Let me know what you think on them. Include which one you think is the best.
I love the softness in this picture, is that what you were going for? I think if you were to have focused more on the flower it would have taken more away from the softness that the purple is bringing in and would make it much more sharp. I like it this way. Very nice. :)
