Different types of lines all used and observed in different structures. Like to also called the mayors office the leaning "tower" of london because of its unique design.
Excellent work, great eye. I imagine this is how the architect intended it to be seen. I like the B+W. Only suggestion I could give to improve this would be to block out the bridge etc. in the background if it was possible, it doesn't tie in with the rest of the image.
Including the stairs and the angle you took down the handrail adds to the push to the right. Looks more like a museum than a city officials building. Good shot of the hardscape
Thanks for your comments so far, yeah strange to think this would be a building for office officials, its probably for them to project they are moving with the times. KEIFER, the Gerkin is also an architectural beauty in London, around the same area this photo was taken, its shape has brought about different nicknames like u mentioned, :) Quite amusing. I am looking into the colored version. Thanks so far.:)
I've seen this same shot on dpreview.com. Not that you necessarily stole it, but it is odd to see near identical, if not entirely identical, pictures. EDIT: I guess this is just a popular building. The angles are different anyway.
