I've always been a fan of a desktop wallpaper that leaves the left hand side uncluttered for your icons etc... and, whist eating breakfast the other morning, I looked out of the window towards the mill I stare at everyday, and saw it in a different light. A clear, crisp morning and the mill in bright sunlight. With the exception of the vegetation at the top (which would take me a long time to fix, and badly! (feel free to have a play if you want, would be interested in seeing any results!)) I like it, works quite well on my desktop and thought I should share.

I've never looked at a mill this closely, but I guess if it was there in front of me everyday, I would. This reminds me of all the mills like this that were shut down in NE in the last several decades. Remnants of a time when this country actually produced some goods. I like the angle and the good lighting and it is thought provoking.

I really like the texture on the building. And the "vegetation" in the corner makes it look more authentic. And, i'm with ya on the left hand side of the desktop being uncluttered. So many images don't get used on mine because i have too many work icons.
