Looks like someone zoomed in on a shot of some frost to my eyes.
And I would echo part of Sandi's; aka tigger3 comment above.. on the note of filling the frame with your creation.
Colour palette is fitting.
Lines are clean.. nice render.

Laughs ... I think it looks a bit like a dustbunny with attitude, myself. But I created this spiky texture one night, while goofing around, and decided to play with it.
