Great job Robert, they are adorned like that to make predators think a much larger creature is staring at them with a large eye. Nature has it's way of protecting the weak. This is a wonderful job and I thank you for sharing this with us. Kudos my friend.

I would say you are right. It does have owl type markings. Great positioning for display. Sharpness and clarity are at their usually quality. Well done.
