Shot with a Sigma 105 macro and Canon 550 flash. The camera was in manual using the settings below. The high aperture is what creates the black background. Tv( Shutter Speed ) 1/125 Av( Aperture Value ) 18 ISO Speed 200 Flash On

Wonderful. I like it that it is dark like this, it is so unusual for a macro of a butterfly. I admire you for having the patience and skill for capturing a shot of these beautiful but active winged beings. Great job. :)
