Shooting macros in a handheld environment with the aperture wide open rarely works but when it does the results can be quite pleasing. Tv( Shutter Speed ) 1/100 Av( Aperture Value ) 2.8 ISO Speed 200 Image Size 1600x1196 Flash Off

Bob, one of the things I both love, and hate, about your photos is that they remind me just how far I still have to go, before I can honestly call myself a photographer!

I'm with them. I better stick to what I don't do best if I ever figure it out. Great capture. I'd have to use a net to get a capture like this. Love the colors.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Boy Oh Boy ... did it ever work for this one. The Butterfly has beautiful color to start with and you've captured it with remarkable clarity. You made excellent use of the light at the time ... no question ... sans flash was the way to go.

I thought that nothing beats Sir Robert Jr and was completely wrong !!!
Must name him [of course males are the always prettier - chiefly amongst animals I mean] His Royal Majesty, King Robert at least if not Emperor Robert ...
