I like the lite color background, It keeps the rose from getting all the attention. I believe a darker BG would push the rose into my face, making me feel uncomfortable. Thanks and HTG!
I'm not the gardener in our house, my wife is. I hardly can tell the difference between a pansy and a mesembryanthemum but as the saying goes, "I know what I like" and I really like this rose. It's a beautiful colour and I agree with Imua that the lightish background is a good move. Great shot.ps. Did it have a scent?
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

All of earth is crammed with heaven And every bush aflame with God But only those who see take off their shoes. - Elizabeth Barrett Browning<p>
