Yes they do. Even the pint-sized, household variety like to be perched up high on occasion.

At first, I thought this was a lioness, until I enlarged the image and saw that scruff of developing mane. It's an immature male. Terrific shot of him in a casual moment!

I'm not sure whether you artistically added the neon violet edging or it's some sort of photographic artifact, but I'm on the fence as to if I like it or not.

I think the image is attractive and strong enough to do well without it. But it does also add an additional layer of visual interest. And ... the color matches the colors in your avatar. :)

The purple edging is an artifact. The lion was pretty far away and I had to use full zoom with an ISO of 400 because he was really shaded in the tree and hard to see. I don't know how to get rid of it. However, I'm happy with the pic. I'm no expert lol.
