This is the mesa-top Sedona, Arizona airport (SDX). The town actually wraps around the mesa and the airport road is a popular spot for photographing the surrounding scene. Above the other end of the runway you can see the Midgely Bridge in lower Oak Creek Canyon. Gives a real sense of depth as wallpaper on a monitor!

I love the wide open expanse, it's breathtaking!! Makes you feel little. Great shot!!

The framing of the image is great. Just the right amount of subject to back matter. However, I do have to mention the fuzzyness of the image and that it isn't squared. The fuzzyness almost makes this image look like it was taken in the 70s and has been scanned. Anyway, I like the idea and the framing, just had those couple complaints.
