Sahuaro cacti produce the Arizona state flower. The large flowers and eventual fruit on their tops and ends of their arms up to 50+' off the ground attract lots of birds and especially bats as the flowers fully open at night. It takes 10 yrs for a sahuaro from seed to get to 1"; about 75 years just to get it's first arm; and full grown they can weigh 10 tons! Taken at 6x zoom in Arizona's Sahuaro National Park East; the almost 9000' Rincon Mtns in background.

Interesting. I would try increasing the contrast a bit. I love it though, I think that's the only thing I would change.
