Thimble Peak silhouetted just before sunset in Tucson, Arizona. Notice the house and sahuaro cactus in the lower left corner? Snow level was down to about 5000' on the 9000'+ Santa Catalina Mountains (home of the southernmost ski facility in the US). A few days late for Christmas though :(

What a gorgeous post, and it's not one I usually associate with Tucson, but nestled in between all the cityscapes in southern AZ are spots of spectacular beauty..thanks for bringing us this one

Usually drop by your gallery to see what new wonderful Bird picture I may have missed. I was in for a surprise ... you're not to shabby with Landscapes either ? This one strikes me as being ... in a word ... fabulous! The shadow and light blanketing those mountains blows me away. Great piece of photography Rick

Just an old "Grampa" who still has a Kodak "Box" camera kicking around the attic ... learning and enjoying the wonders of modern digital photography.
