Female Anna's hummingbird decided to check me out prior to getting a drink. Unfortunately (or fortunately?) only had the 'small' camera plus had to crop some, so relatively small pic. Sometimes I think they like having their picture taken!

I've never seen this angle before..good job on what I still find to be a very-hard-to-capture bird. I'm going to get set this winter with a corded remote though!! :)

They are very interesting looking from this angle. You can't even tell they have long beaks. I don't seem to attract this variety. Maybe they like different flowers than I have in my garden. This was quick thinking Rick. The colors in this shot are really nice too.

~ Oh wow...what an unusual shot! You have some really fantastic shots of hummers in your gallery too Rick! I'm so envious, lol... I've only seen 2 hummers since I've been down here in FL and have given up trying to hang up feeders and plant red flowers. One was just passing by for a quick stop I guess about 8 yrs ago, and about 5 yrs ago one got his beak stuck in our pool cage and I had to push it out to free him, lol. Thanks for sharing your luck with these adorable birds for us!
