Last view of the sun Sep 29 in Tucson, Arizona. The bird was a bonus - a Gila woodpecker making one last snack run from its home in the sahuaro (close up of a Gila in my gallery). The tree is a young mesquite.
All of earth is crammed with heaven And every bush aflame with God But only those who see take off their shoes. - Elizabeth Barrett Browning<p>

This is a wonderful silhouette Rick, very well composed! When I downloaded it I was curious and tried it out in B&W. I know it's a sunset but a photography magazine I was reading suggested trying sunsets in B&W. With your added silhouettes and that "star" I really liked the results and thought you might have fun with that too ;)
Love your shot!

"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
What contrast between the upward movement of the thick branches of the cactus and the drooping and graceful movement of the airy, thin branches of the tree sharing the last rays of the sun together. Green capture, Rick.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.
