I very much like the shaft of light getting its focus from the perspective of the hallway. The choice of black and white was a good one here, but it seems a bit grainy. Is it my imagination?
While I like the other shot of the arches above ground in the sun I'm drawn more to mystery in a shot like this one. The shaft of light is so solid without the dust of a lot of people passing and the unlit brasiers. Makes it seem like you were the only one there in a very long time.
Never knowing. Shocking but we're nothing, we're just moments. We're Clever but we're clueless, we're just human. Amusing but confusing. We're trying, but where is this all leading? Never Know.
-Jack Johnson
This one has an uninviting thumbnail and that’s a pity because it’s a rewarding image at full screen. The shaft of sunlight has created a wonderful aura of mystery. I half expect to see a genie materialise out of that shaft of light :-)
The world is changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air. Much that once was, is lost, for none now live who remember it. -Lord of the Rings, The Fellowship of the Ring
