The interior was really very spooky, with dark lighting broken by a few holes high in the ceiling...

I very much like the shaft of light getting its focus from the perspective of the hallway. The choice of black and white was a good one here, but it seems a bit grainy. Is it my imagination?

While I like the other shot of the arches above ground in the sun I'm drawn more to mystery in a shot like this one. The shaft of light is so solid without the dust of a lot of people passing and the unlit brasiers. Makes it seem like you were the only one there in a very long time.

Nice image. I think you captured the spookiness of the scene quite well. Great job!

Never knowing. Shocking but we're nothing, we're just moments. We're Clever but we're clueless, we're just human. Amusing but confusing. We're trying, but where is this all leading? Never Know. -Jack Johnson

This one has an uninviting thumbnail and that’s a pity because it’s a rewarding image at full screen. The shaft of sunlight has created a wonderful aura of mystery. I half expect to see a genie materialise out of that shaft of light :-)

This is a nice image....I agree that it is a little grainy, but good capture.

Just joined up with you all, and saw this great graphic.
Even the small image grabbed my attention. I wanted to
go inside and stand in the light....

Great work

If you wake up above ground, that points to the start of a really great day.

I rather like the graininess...the texture....makes the spookiness more visceral. great capture.

I agree.... in this picture, the graininess actually adds to the picture. That very rarely happens!

Wonderful shot!

I also agree. The grainyness works well with this brooding photo. Very nice capture.
