Well since you asked. I see several different things depending upon how and where I look. The dominant image is of a set of eyes, let's call them owl's eyes for arguments sake. But that could also be the shape of a canoe. Looking at the vertical axis; we run into your buffalo man mirror imaged top and bottom. Looking even closer there could be countless faces and shapes discerned in the abstract pattern.

As an illusion it seems like a furry creature's face, with eyes and nose. This obtained a part of fur by multiplying and mirroring and placing into four quadrant. IMHO if the upper 1/8 part were cropped the effect would be more strong. This time 'nose' in the upper part wouldn't be there. Nice idea.
