Evening falls over Marseilles' old harbor. The road that circles the harbor has some speed traffic on it, so when I saw this while driving. I had to stop. leap from the car, shoot, shoot, shoot, then leap through traffic back into the car and leave. I imagine I left a bad impression with some locals - I apologize, but the scene is so beautiful!!

merci Reg,

well done here and wouldn't have worked any other way than the vertical format..6 months ago , you used to wish people luck with these...now a lot of people just let em fly, funny how times change?

You cannot depend on your eyes, when your imagination if out of focus.

Beautiful color and reflections...there is a certain atmosphere around boats in the harbor in the evening, with the water ever so gently lapping against their sides...you have captured that well...as for verticals, I say, go for it...they can be every bit as nice as full screen when well done and you have accomplished that here.:Pat.

Hi Reg..I personally see nothing artistically wrong with this image that someone found the need to vote "2" without an explanation. I think it is fascinating with all the masts of the sailing ships reflected in the golden sunset on the water. I also really like the vertical frame. Works great for me as a desktop, the icon queen! lol......you got my vote regmar & it was not a '2'......this image sailed right into my fav's on my harddrive. Thanks my friend :)

What a neat site. I'm fascinated by the number of photography sites out there. You have to admit the photo-opportunity in a harbor is hard to resist :-)

Absolutly stunning. Definatly worth risking life, limb and reputation. It so quiet and peaceful. I love it so much words cant describe but is very evocative to me. I feel filled with warmth when looking at it. 10/10

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom i trust". Psalm 91: 1 and 2

I have a simple formula; do your best and somebody somewhere is bound to like what you did.
