Lapu-Lapu was the datu of Mactan, an island in the Visayas, Philippines, who is known as the first native of the archipelago to have resisted Spanish colonization. He is now regarded as the first Filipino hero. (The thing between his legs is a sword used in that period which length stretches down to the ground.)

Nice background for this statue Rey.. Myself,I would have tried to clone that stick or whatever it is between his legs out.. good narrative also..Say hi to Art Bell for me if ya see him around...lol.. =D

This is a nice shot - but - (there's always a but isn't there) I would have liked to have seen a bit of the statues profile in the image. I think it would have added a lot of dimension. As it is it's a bit flat to me. Regardless, it's a great silhouette with a beautiful background of clouds - nice work -
