Rebecca - The purple cloth and the near sepia tone of the rest of the photo is very powerful, as is the rope tied cross. May I suggest cloning out the roof line and soffit on the right as it intersects with the lines of the cross, in my opinion taking away from the impact of the image. Thad

You had me a little confused, Rebecca. I had to take a quick look at the calendar. LOL. I agree with Thad, although maybe a Gaussian blur would accomplish the same thing. I like the shot and the idea very much.

I as well like the purple cloth draped around the cross! Its a powerful image. I dont see a roof but I do see the soffit which I dont think takes away anything from the image much. Love the post.
