Taken on the River Ouse in Bedford UK. Strange how the branches never go into the water ? Ron.

Regarding branches not growing into the water, I have always thought that trees have special "tree knowledge". For example, when two trees are planted close together, they form one canopy, as if they were one tree. (I always think of a good marriage when I see such a pair). Also, if you look at a distant set of associated treelines of deciduous trees in winter, you see that their general outlines are precise, as if they were each fulfilling a certain role in a committee. This is a nice pic, wish you had had a bit brighter day, but a keeper nonetheless!

We have loads of weepers around here, and they do go in the water, so I'm thinking that someone has given these guys a haircut!

We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"

There is something about Weeping Willows that is hard to explain. I love the way they are reaching down to the water and they are wonderful to sit in the shade of on a hot summers day.
Beautiful shot!

Hello Ronald,
I like the 'feel' of this, It makes one yearn for 'Olde England' I can even see the swan beneath the branches. Nice frame too. Well done.
Surfs Up,
Stanley.
