I could resist taken this shot. I seen in my minds eye you next to the greatest President in U.S. history and his Wife. Congradulations on being in my history mistery. Who was this great man and who was his equally great wife? And then where did I take this picture?

I found a picture of this statue of FDR and his wife on a Google search, but there was no name as to where it was located. :( Oh, well...I like the representation you've shown us here. It was taken at an excellent angle and shows off not only the sculptures, but also the wonderful brick work on the building to the right and also the bright flowers directly behind the bench. Ample room for Owd Bob, I'd say :) The clarity is good on the near aspects and continues until just behind Eleanor when it becomes a trifle oversaturated and then out to the background where there are more white objects and the sun seems to take over and virtually obliterates the elements there. I suppose it's because the subjects are dark and the lens was open to capture them. I was going to suggest a "crop" job, but that wouldn't eliminate the difficulties around FDR's head and the tables and chairs included there. Perhaps if you have some photo software program on your puter you could run it through some adjustments to see if you can level this out because I think it is a captivating shot and we certainly don't want Bob to get sunstroke ..lol...nice pic :)PJ

Hi Victor:

When I was growing up I thought that FDR was the only President there ever was, since he was in office for so many (Four) terms.(He became President one year after I was born) I remember when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor and he referred to it as "As a Day that will live in Infamy" A Great President and a great picture. Where it was taken????? I also thought that the Mayor of Chicago was always Mayor Daily (Come to think of it, he still is)

Take Care, BobZee P.S. TNX for thr bench.

Where else but Hyde park would you find FDR and his wife, Eleanor siting together? Thanks everybody for looking at the photo and a special thanks to Bob for being there.

HABITS

Most are learned,
concocted then passed on.
There's a right way and a wrong way.
There's my wife's way, my daughters way and my sons way.
So many habits, so many ways to perform.

You can put a fork on the right.
You can put a fork on the left.
If I put it on the plate for me it's best.
But then why use a fork?
Why not a spoon?
Will it cause me to finish my meal to soon?

Habits are laws laid down by the past.
Breaking them is hard
But they'll always last.

Throw out the garbage.
Let out the dog.
Wake up for work.
Go for a walk.
DON'T FORGET WHERE TO PUT THE FORK!
