My God Vic, this horse looks as though it's about to drop dead. Just look at the sweat on it and how skinny it is. Where in the world was this taken at?. It must pull a tourist buggy or used for another type of labor. As far as the dancing, it's probably delirious from exhaustion would be my guess. Being a horse owner it just breaks my heart to see this.
Wife told me that horse has winter coat and after pulling buggy is not going to drop dead. That's was something I also thought, as well. I was going to blame the Amish but my wife who rode for many years told me I was wrong.
I would have to agree with Eileen, Vic from what I can see here..it looks very skinny. A winter coat to me always gives a fuller appearance not a scraggly one. Unless the photo is not doing it justice, I would say it's underweight ..possibly malnourished. I hope that isnt the case.
GOD PUT ME on this earth to accomplish a certain number of things. Right now I am so far behind I will never die.

Vic, did your wife have an answer for the horse's gaunt look. That horse is underfed!!! If there is a Humane Society nearby, please tell them about the animal. It even appears to be having "repetative stress behavior" which would explain the dancing. That is NOT normal behavior. Thank you for posting this and please get help for the animal.
Hi Vic:
I have to agree the picture looks great, but I don,t know about the horse. Use to ride a lot in my younger years (quarter horse and western saddle) I don't know if this horse could support a western saddle much less a rider. Take Care, BobZee
Not knowing much about horses I had no reason for concern til I read the comments of others...PLEASE let us know more about this horse Victor...I'm worried about him...that aside, an interesting shot and great lighting.:Pat.
In any case ASPCA should be notified if just to check and make us all QUIET.
I know what happened afterwards [your subsequent posts !] but wanted to sound clever too !!! LOL
