Test your skills. The painting, "Learn to See," is not complete and most likely will never be. I brush painted on the canvas with a small brush and brad nails. Look deeply into the painting and find more images. There are faces throughout - people, animals, whatever. If you are an artist join me in my world. This Image is placed in the voting booth only to see what the photo receives for a C-index. I do not expect to get a great review ... perhaps I will find out if I'm crazy (or not)! Victor

Darkest of Hours

As daylight rolls
through frosted windows,
reflections are distorted -
always confusing.
Once smooth hands that
felt fabrics of living are
now sandy and fragile.
Deep shadows;
valleys imbedded on my face
tell tales of sleeplessness.
Nightly visions, unreal dreams
scream lies of hope.
There are no chores, work,
achievements
as time plays songs of pain
in deformed shell.

windows frosted, laden with the beauty of nature's coldest whim,
the beauty of night falls as shadows dance to the cadence of the moon. a ground once smooth, now muddled and trampled by moonlight's jubilee, was never so happy.

break apart the seems to keep yourself open,
rip the shadows to the sun's prayer so you can see the faces underneath.. they would not dare to disagree, they all have jubilee and the passion of the moon, to darkness' play.

a comedy to the dreams, a tale of broken eyes and screams and lies, you find hope in the chaos.
rip apart the seems so you can make sense of pain, dream at the bottom, so you can see the sand muddled and distorted churn to the warm surface.

energy, as the ocean churns, life begins

Even so sad, your poem brings in a beautiful way the shadows that surrounded us time to time in a dance of a stormy night, but the lightning is always there, between the thunder showing the exit path...

Without looking too deeply , this is understood. Your choice of colors ,light and brush strokes are really wonderful as I see it especially for an image such as this.I would say that it is finished if that does not offend. Do not place any value on the C-index or even the comments for that matter on an image like this , at this site anyway. This is really a great piece..

Each time I look at this I see something different - and something more. Maybe I do not see what you as the artist intended but in my view any art work that engages my brain and emotions is a true art work and this is one such piece.
I do think it is complete - for me, being able to see traces of the canvas beneath is a reminder of the fragility of life and this world.
Whatever the C-index proves to be it is a winner - thanks for sharing your talents.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . .
