CHILDREN IN THE RAIN


STUCK IN THE HOUSE
BECAUSE OF THE RAIN,
TWO CHILDREN, MY WIFE AND I
ABOUT TO GO INSANE.

I TELL THE CHILDREN
NOT TO FIGHT
TRYING TO SEPARATE THEM
UNTIL IT'S NIGHT.

"YOU..GO TO YOUR ROOM."
"STOP PICKING ON YOUR SISTER, SON."
"NOW DAUGHTER,
PLEASE STOP EGGING HIM ON."

FINALLY, I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE
SO I SNEAK OUT AND GO TO THE STORE.
WHEN I GET HOME, IT'S MY WIFE'S TURN.
THEN SHE CALMLY IMFORMS ME, "I WON'T RETURN."

"GOODBYE HUSBAND DEAR."
"I'LL MISS YOU SO!"
"WILL YOU TAKE ONE CHILD WITH YOU
WHEN YOU GO?"

"NO!

I like the composition, the sky is so beautiful making a good contrast in the composition, Vic. Kids at home in rainy days make adults half crazy yes! lol

Dark & dreary. I'd like to see this one from the same spot when everything has greened-up & the river at normal. And, as a bonus, you get to stay dry while taking it. ...Ed

Great capture and that is really rushing water, must have had a lot of rain. You should write a book on poems, another outstanding poem
